More about EA Sports Active from EASportsActive.com
We get it: in the battle of couch versus gym, the couch usually wins. It’s so much easier to find an excuse than to actually do the workout. But what if your gym was two feet away from the couch and your workout was actually fun to do? Meet EA SPORTS Active, the motivating fitness program you can do at home at any time. With over 25 calorie-burning, muscle-toning exercises and activities, daily progress reports, and encouraging virtual personal trainers, you’ll get gym-worthy results without even thinking of making an excuse!
I would love to win the Wii and EA Sports Active. I have to take a specific med. to keep all my chemicals balanced and the side effect is weight gain. I gained over 50 lbs. in only 6 months. I would love to get back in shape and try other meds. This would give me the kick in the butt to get started. Thanks for such an awesome and heartfelt giveaway.

I would love to win this for my mother in law. She has arthritis and recently is has gotten worse. She used to walk every day and was very active but now is is difficult for her to get around. She was visiting and we let her try our Wii and she really enjoyed it. He exercises were hard at first but after a day or two she started coming around. I think this would do her a world of good. SHe misses being able to be more active and I think this would help her.

I have a 6 month old at home, and am already 4 months pregnant! I feel like I've been pregnant forever, and never even got a chance to lose my baby weight the first time before getting pregnant again. I have always worked out, but never consistently. (I HATE it) I want to try using the Wii after this baby is born. Working out at home will be key I think- getting a 1 year old and an newborn dressed, fed, and ready to go, bring them to the gym daycare (which isn't the best thing) and do something I don't even want to do in the first place? Not gonna happen! At least not consistently. Maybe the Wii would help me reach my goal!

I would love to have one since having my girl parts removed (due to extreme endometrisis) I have gained 50 pounds and definately need to loose them. Plus it would be a good motivator for my two girls to exercise more.
ReplyDeleteI blogged about it! http://scienceesl.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteI recently discovered the joy of exercise, and EA Sports Active has been a part of that realization. In the past 3 months I have started a daily workout routine, and part of that is regularly using the Wii as a fun alternative to my normal workout.
ReplyDeleteI would like to win the package to provide my mother with the same opportunity; she suffers from arthritis and metabolic disorder, and she often finds it difficult to keep active. This could be a fun and healthful way for her to get moving.

I would love to win this package for both myself and my mom. I have RA (since age 2) and OA and my mom has OA and degenerative disc disease. My mom is unable to do much of anything other than limited walking. I am able to walk for about 30 mins a day but due to the meds I have gained a ton of weight. I tried Wii Fit last year and it was great as it allowed me to be safely active in my home. My mom needs both hips and knees replaced within the next year and I will need replaced in the next 5-10 years. I would love to win this so we could exercise together.

What a generous prize offering!
ReplyDeleteI've struggled with my weight all my life and have been dealing with IBS since my preteen years. It has made exercising difficult to say the least. Going for a walk could turn into an urgent need to find a washroom quickly and so it means needing to stay close to home. In 2007, I lost 62lbs of 110lbs I wanted to lose. In 2008, we decided to start our family and during my pregnancy gained 50lbs...since having our son I'm still 20lbs above my lowest weight. Trying to exercise with a 2 month old and my IBS is difficult as far as doing something outside the house. I think being able to do something in the comfort of my own home would be ideal as I'd have no excuses! I want to realize my weight loss goal before my maternity leave is over and think this would help me achieve it.
Thank you for your generosity and the opportunity to enter this contest.
I have posted about it on my blog The Hayne Family and tweeted (tammihayne).
I would love to win this package!! I gained all my weight while working full time, going to college fulltime and raising my daughter by myself. Somewhere along the way and at my heaviest I met & married my best friend. So all was going great and then the economy tanked! hubby is still out of work! We are trying to lose weight & get healthy! The gym is out because of the expense but this Wii would be great!

I would LOVE to win this for a dear friend who is struggling to lose weight and is on disability due to severe depression. As we all know more activity can and does help, I think THIS would do her wonders!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this opportunity for an awesome prize package!
I'd love to win this!
ReplyDeleteMy story is a long one but I'll try to be brief.
I had six kids and found out that I was pregnant again. With my previous two pregnancies I had developed high blood pressure. I had almost lost my life during one labour due to it and spent way too much time admitted at the hospital with the other one. I knew that this would happen to me again with my 7th pregnancy if I didn't do something.
But what could I do? I had plantar fasciitis which caused me excruciating pain in my feet when I walked anywhere, and I was reduced to hobbling around the house and rarely going anywhere. Also, during pregnancies, I always developed SPD (hip and pelvic pain due to the loosening and separating of my joints).
I was only 12 weeks pregnant when I decided to actively improve my health. Despite the pain, I started walking more. It hurt, but I knew it was necessary. I joined a slimming club (called Slimming World) and started eating healthy. I bought an elliptical crosstrainer and started exercising on it regularly.
Not only did I lose weight during my pregnancy (doctor supervised), I also avoided developing high blood pressure AND my plantar fasciitis, for the first time in three years, completely disappeared! I lost, including the baby weight after birth, over 60 pounds while I was pregnant.
I have continued my healthy lifestyle since then. My baby is now 7 months old and I have lost a total of 109 pounds so far. I went from a high weight of 272.5 pounds to 163.5 pounds, and I'm still losing weight.
If I can do it, anyone can!
(I'll tweet this giveaway for the extra entry.)
My mom has been suffering RA for over 10 years. She was hospitalized for 2 months before she could walk properly. She still has aches and pains now and then, but she still keeps herself busy with her work around the house. She's never had the chance to try out wii, that's why I'd love to win one for her. Thanks for the chance to win!

I would love to win this contest for the most amazing woman I have ever met...My mother.
ReplyDeleteMy mother is simply amazing. I have never met a woman who is more generous with her love and time. Her whole life, she has put the needs of others before her own. She went without many things while raising me on her own because she never wanted me to go without. She never wanted me to be affected because there wasn't a father figure in my life. This incredible woman gave so much of herself for me, and for that I am forever grateful.
Now is the time for my mother to focus on herself and her health. Her joint pain has prevented her from walking outside for exercise because it hits her so suddenly. Every time she comes down for a visit, she talks about buying a Wii and exercising in the comfort of her own home...But atlas, money doesn't grow on trees. The economy hit my mother hard, and she has been without a job for many months now. Day in and day out, she searches for a job, but like the millions of other Americans, she continues to be unemployed.
I would love for my mother to win this contest for her health and for her happiness. Getting in shape would not only boost her confidence and help her realize how beautiful she is, but it would greatly improve her health. And maybe, just maybe it would help me get that mother/daughter picture I have been asking for, but always get "I'm too fat" back as a response.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. :)
I would love to win the Wii so I can play Wii Fit. I've turned into a desk potato from sitting at my desk on the computer day after day, hour after hour. My friends that have a Wii say it's a blast for getting in shape.
