New Jersey Statewide Independent Living Council

The SILC is a 17-person committee, appointed by the Governor, that works to maximize the opportunities given to individuals with disabilities. By law, a majority of the members are persons with disabilities who work along side disability advocates, private business reps and directors from various Centers for Independent Living.
